A robin is born:
Here’s the next stage. Where did the shell go? WikiAnswers says, “The parents remove the egg shells far away from the nest so that predators aren’t clued in to the nest’s location.”
I wanted to experiment with adding media to my posts, so here’s my first attempt. This is a picture of robins’ eggs that were in a nest at a friend’s house. They set up a camera in the tree above the nest. Stay tuned to see what happened next!
